The Best Western Airport Motor Inn is located in Marathon, a town, which has more than tripled in size in the last ten years. This sudden growth and development is largely due to the fact that Marathon is located 23 miles from Hemlo. Hemlo is one of the world's largest gold finds and now houses three major gold mines, Teck Corona - David Bell Mine, Williams Mine and the Golden Giant Mine. Marathon is also the home of James River Limited, a large pulp mill. Our location caters primarily to the business traveler. Because of the gold mines and pulp mill, our guests consist mainly of salespeople and executives.
